Waking up to rain on this Saturday morning, I just had a feeling that Jaco and Anneke’s wedding was going to be blessed in abundance. Arriving at the beautiful venue, Pepermossie in Bloemfontein, with its unique decor and special elements that makes it a one of a kind, it was sunshine and clear skies.
As the day progressed, clouds started gathering and a few showers poured down. However, that didn’t stop Jaco and Anneke excitement. Especially as they got ready to promise to love each other forever.
In the mean time, Anneke and her relaxed bridesmaids got ready at the beautiful Liedjiesbos Guesthouse. Jaco and his groomsmen enjoyed getting ready at Marrakech Guesthouse.
In due time, the rain subsided. The bride arrived at the ceremony with the groom waiting in anticipation to see his best friend walk down the aisle. No one could hold back their tears as Anneke met Jaco in front of the chapel. It really was such a special moment. One they won’t forget.
Geared with my camera and a few umbrellas close by, we headed up the Pepermossie hill for an intimate session with the couple. Just when I thought the sky couldn’t get anymore amazing, all of a sudden the sun came out for five minutes just to show us that love is magical. We were really blessed with gorgeous light and beautiful cloudy skies. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
To end off this perfect day, they shared the rest of their evening with friends and family. There was dancing! Participation in games from the couple and from the guests. Lots of fun and laughter and the occasional happy tears were shared. Then again – surrounded by so many loved ones, who wouldn’t.
A huge thank you to all the vendors making this wedding day possible:

When I met up with Anneke and Jaco over a cup of coffee just before their engagement session, the venue and my plans with it, changed totally. We decided to grab a few shots in town for just that different urban feel and then headed to capture them with some gorgeous clouds and greenery after […]
I just love capturing maternity sessions. The excitement of becoming parents for the first time and the love between two people who made that happen. Corlia and Ivan’s session was no exception as we headed to the University of the Free State for a different back drop than their previous nature session. I just know […]
